The Governors of Broadwas CofE Primary school have a strategic role, rather like the board of directors of a company. They take strategic decisions about the running of the school which promote the best interests of all children in school. They respect each child as an individual and aim to make sure that all children receive a high quality of education that is continually improving. There is a Full Governing Body meeting every half term where they consider a number of documents, including the Headteacher’s report, the School Improvement Plan, reports from the sub-committees and working parties.

Currently there are three sub-committees - Resources, Standards, BumbleBees and Recruitment and Admissions. These committees report to the Full Governing Body and their report is included in the minutes. From time to time, working parties are established to oversee a particular issue or project.
