ECO Ambassadors

Further Spring Developments

The children have been continuing to develop their Recycling Project and carried out an audit of the objectives set by themselves at the start of the term.

They have found that all the pupils and staff are working hard to recycle plastic and save energy! Well done to one and all and we now push forward with the Litter Picking project!

Thanks

Mr Dennis and the ECO Team

Spring Term Developments!

The children have held a very productive meeting with the Head teacher this term and explored some new ECO projects for the term. These new ideas are listed below and are very exciting:

1. The recycling of textiles with 'Recycle with Michael' and the planting of new trees.

2. The development of a whole school and community litter pick with 'Little Litter Warriors'.

3. The possibility of plastic crisp packet recycling in liaison with 'The British Ironwork Museum' https://www.britishironworkcentre.co.uk/projects_item/flipper-the-dolphin-school-environmental-project/.

We look forward to sharing more of these ideas with you over Spring 2!

Autumn Term Developments!

This term the children have worked hard in developing the principles of recycling in school. The children held a brilliant assembly, with all the children and staff in school, and developed our understanding of the vision of ECO at Broadwas, how we are going to continue to recycle plastic, how we are going to save electricity in school and the development of a litter picking program.

We look forward to both the children carrying out a ECO audit in the Spring Term and the new exciting projects that we have planned! Well done both of you!

ECO Ambassadors 2024-25

We have new ECO Ambassadors for the year 2024-25. The children are very passionate about the climate and have wonderful ideas on how they can support our school in developing our role in supporting climate change! We look forward to seeing the work the children will lead in the coming year!

ECO Assembly 2024-25

The children have led a wonderful assembly this term. They were able to construct a PowerPoint with a series of three challenges for the children and staff to meet:

1. How can we use the paper and plastic recycling bins correctly?

2. What do we do when leaving a room always turn off the lights and the Smartboard.

3. How can we support litter picking in school?

Let us see how they can meet the challenge over the new term?
