Our whole school topic this week is 'Jane Goodall and the Chimpanzees'. There are a selection of activities to choose from on the topic grid.
Any queries, don't hesitate to drop me an email at reception@broadwas.worcs.sch.uk or send me a message via Tapestry.
This week we are going to be revisiting the ‘one armed robot’ letters in handwriting. Watch the short clip on BBC Bitesize and then practise writing these letters. In school we will practise one or two of these letters each day in our handwriting books.
Our story in Literacy today is 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'. Talk about the story and then draw three bowls, chairs and beds on the activity sheet and label them 'too big', 'too small' or 'just right'.
In Maths, we are going to play 'Count the sides'. We will try to get at least one counter by each of the 2D shapes!
In school we will be setting up a Science experiment involving Gummy bears!
Today we are going to read an alternative version of 'Goldilocks'. How is it different? How is it similar? What advice would you give to Goldilocks? Write two ideas as sentences in the speech bubbles. Remeber to use your phonics and write your letters carefully.
In Maths, we will be ordering objects by size.
In Maths we will be practising our fine motor skills by cutting out circles to create a shape picture.
Our Science experiment today will involve porridge and we will each write a sentence about it for our Science Journal.
In Literacy, we will be writing a list of jobs for Goldilocks. There are lots of things Goldilocks needs to do to put things right!
In Science we will review our Gummy Bear investigation. We will use words to describe the changes and explain why we think this has happened.
